Dating back to January 2002, Chefs Nate Peltier and Nate Nowak knew that they had a passion for the food service industry. Along with the passion for food was an obligation to support and defend the freedom of the United States of America. These two young men enlisted into the Army with a food service military occupation. Joining under the buddy program and attending Fort Knox, Kentucky for Basic Training, Ft. Lee, Virginia for culinary training, Ft. Benning, GA for Airborne training and ultimately both being stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Both Chef Nate Peltier and Chef Nate Nowak deployed overseas in combat zones to prepare nutritious and delicious meals to the troops. Between the two, they have a combined 12 years overseas and in combat zones. Since 2002, the passion for the food service industry and the brotherhood between them have allowed them to join forces and bring to you Silver Star Cafe'. Within Silver Star Cafe' we extend our brotherhood to all of our guests and help create a memorable dining experiences through our food and conversation.
